BCSNN — Oklahoma State and Mississippi State have agreed to a future home‑and‑home football series, adding another marquee Power 4 matchup to the Cowboys’ long‑term scheduling slate. The Bulldogs will visit Boone Pickens Stadium on Sept. 7, 2030, with Oklahoma State making the return trip to Starkville on Sept. 6, 2031.
The two programs have met five times, with Oklahoma State holding a 3–2 advantage in the series. Their most recent contest came in the 2013 AdvoCare Texas Kickoff in Houston, where the Cowboys earned a 21–3 victory at Reliant Stadium. Outside of that neutral‑site meeting, the home team has won every game in the series — OSU claiming victories in Stillwater in 1998 and 1971, and Mississippi State defending its home turf in 1999 and 1970.
Oklahoma State has played three games in the state of Mississippi in program history, with a 2001 road contest at Southern Miss marking its only other trip to the state beyond the two previous matchups in Starkville.
The agreement continues Oklahoma State’s ongoing commitment to scheduling high‑profile, home‑and‑home series against Power 4 opponents. The Cowboys are set to face Arkansas (2027, 2032, 2033), Michigan State (2028, 2029) and Nebraska (2034, 2035) in upcoming seasons, reinforcing OSU’s long‑standing approach of building competitive and nationally relevant nonconference schedules.
The two‑game series adds another compelling intersectional matchup to the future college football landscape, pairing programs with shared history and strong regional followings in a pair of early‑September showdowns.
