The Coastal Carolina football team (7-1, 4-1 Sun Belt) will return home to Brooks Stadium to host the Appalachian State Mountaineers (5-3, 2-2 Sun Belt) for a "Black Out" on Thursday night, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN and carried on the radio at WRNN Hot Talk 99.5 FM.

Baylor teammates Gabe Hall (defensive) and Richard Reese (newcomer) joined the K-State duo of Will Howard (offensive) and Ty Zentner (co-special teams) along with Oklahoma’s Michael Turk (co-special teams) in earning Big 12 Football Week 9 awards. Howard and Turk collected their second career honor while Reese picked up his second of the season. Hall and Zentner were recognized for the first time.

UConn junior linebacker Jackson Mitchell (Ridgefield, CT) was named the Week 9 recipients of the New England Football Writers Association Gold Helmet Awards presented by the Jack Grinold/Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation. Western CT State wide receiver Julian Ferguson was also named a winner this week.
