Toledo sophomore infielder Jeron Williams has been named MAC Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced. He shares the award with Central Michigan's Drew Lechnir.

Williams had a terrific weekend for the Rockets, helping them sweep Eastern Michigan and score 46 runs in four games. As Toledo's leadoff hitter, Williams hit .647 at the plate (11-for-17), scored eight runs, drove in six, and did not strike out, while also stealing two bases. Williams had multiple hits in each game, including three straight three-hit performances to open the series. He drove in three runs in the opener, hit a home run in game two, and drove in two runs in UT's 21-7 victory on Saturday. He ended the series with a 2-for-4 performance while scoring twice.

Williams' outstanding weekend has put him into a tie for first place in the league in hits (57), and placed him in the Top 10 in the league in batting average (.348) and runs scored (35). His 41 hits in conference play are more than anyone else in the MAC.

Toledo takes a break from conference play this weekend to host Austin Peay for a three-game series at Scott Park.
