Paul Vazquez set a career-high with three hits and Bryson Glassco drove in two but Washington got ahead early as Oregon State dropped an 18-2 decision to the Huskies Tuesday night at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
The loss snapped Oregon State's win streak at seven games. Oregon State (21-6 overall) had also won its first seven games of the year at home and had won eight straight at Goss Stadium dating back to 2025.
Washington got on the board with a two-run double and two-run home run in the first. Glassco drove in his first of two runs on the night with a perfectly placed bunt in the second, but Washington (13-15) answered with five more runs in the third.
Glassco drove a sacrifice fly to left in the sixth for his second RBI of the night.
Vazquez singled in the second, fourth and sixth innings for his ninth multiple-hit effort of the year.
Connor Mendez started for the Beavers and allowed seven runs on five hits and four walks in 2 1/3 innings. He dropped to 1-2 on year. His counterpart, Liam Lierman, improved to 2-0 after holding the Beavers to three hits and a run in 5 1/3 innings.
Oregon State hits the road for five straight with a three-game series versus Lamar in Beaumont, Texas coming up first. The series opens Thursday night with a 4:05 p.m. PT (6:05 p.m. in Texas) first pitch at Vincent-Beck Stadium.
All three games of the series will air live on ESPN+.
