Colorado State men's basketball has signed 6-4 guard Joe Palmer (Faribault, Minn./Faribault HS (Augsburg)) to join the program for the 2022-23 season, head coach Niko Medved announced.

Palmer will have two years of eligibility remaining, including his COVID year. The rising senior played his first three collegiate seasons at Augsburg University.

2021-2022: Started all 24 games for the Auggies in his junior year... Named to the NABC Division III All-America Second Team, NABC All-District 9 First Team and D3Hoops.com All-Region teams… Earned the Joe Hutton Men's Basketball Player of the Year honor by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), along with All-MIAC First Team honors... Led the MIAC in both points (21.0) and rebounds (9.0) per-game, while also ranking ninth in the conference in field goal percentage with 50.8%... His 21 points per-game ranked 31st in all of NCAA Division III... Recorded 54 assists, 31 steals, and eight blocks… Hit 50 three-pointers, ranking fifth in the MIAC… Finished the season with 11 double-doubles and scored 20 or more points in 14 games, including four 30-plus point performances… Earned CoSIDA Academic All-District Team honors with a 3.71 grade point average in history and secondary education... Earned MIAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week honors four times and D3hoops.com Team of the Week honors once...

2020-2021: Played in seven games, starting all of them... Averaged a team-best 18.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per-game... Recorded 19 assists, seven steals, and four blocks... Hit 83.3 percent of his free throw attempts... Earned MIAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week on March 8... Earned Academic All-MIAC honors... Abbreviated season due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-20: Playing in all 26 games, starting eight... Named to All-First-Year Team... Finished his initial campaign with an 8.6 points per-game average... Averaged 3.5 rebounds per-game, while contributing 31 assists and 13 steals... Scored in double figures in 12 games this season, including seven of his last eight starts.... Played 20 or more minutes in 17 of his 26 games, including his last 15 games in a row.
