The Toledo men's basketball team will open the 10th annual Gulf Coast Showcase in southwest Florida on Monday, Nov. 21 against Kansas City.

The Rockets won the tournament in 2018 en route to posting a 25-8 overall record.

The Gulf Coast Showcase was created specifically for mid-major programs in 2013 and will be played at Hertz Arena in Estero, Fla. The Rockets' matchup vs. the Roos (19-12) will tip off at 11:00 p.m. on Nov. 21. Other first-round contests include East Carolina (15-15) against Indiana State (11-20) at 1:30 p.m., Drexel (15-14) versus UT-Arlington (11-18) at 5:00 p.m., and Florida Gulf Coast (22-12) taking on Northern Kentucky (20-12) at 7:30 p.m.

Game times for Tuesday and Wednesday will be the same with semifinal contests on Nov. 22 at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday's championship game will tip on Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Toledo returns four starters from last year's 26-8 squad. Senior forwards Setric Millner Jr. (15.0 ppg, 5.8 rpg) and JT Shumate (15.0 ppg, 6.1 rpg) will lead the frontcourt, while junior RayJ Dennis (12.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 4.1 apg) and sophomore Ra'Heim Moss (8.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg) are returning starters in the backcourt.
