(BCSNN) — Senior Trevon Brazile delivered a career‑high 28 points in his final home game and Darius Acuff Jr. posted one of the most complete performances in college basketball this season as No. 20/19 Arkansas defeated Texas 105–85 on Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena.
Brazile opened the game by making his first six shots, including three from beyond the arc, and finished 9 of 11 from the field and 7 of 8 at the line. He added seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
Acuff became the only high‑major player in the nation this season to record at least 28 points and 13 assists in a game. He went 4 of 6 from deep and 8 of 10 at the line, tying his career high with 13 assists for his fifth point‑assist double‑double of the year — a single‑season school record. He is the first Razorback on record to produce at least 24 points and 10 assists in a game.
Arkansas (—) opened on a 19–4 run and never looked back, leading by 22 at halftime and maintaining at least a 15‑point margin throughout the second half.
D.J. Wagner scored 13 points — his best output since Dec. 29 — and Meleek Thomas added 13. Billy Richmond III saw his streak of six straight 20‑point games end, but he contributed a career‑high nine rebounds along with three blocks and three steals.
Texas (—) was led by Matas Vokietaitis with 21 points and seven rebounds. Dailyn Swain added 16 points and nine boards.
