(BCSNN) — Honor Huff scored 24 points in his final regular‑season home game to lead West Virginia to a 77-62 win over UCF on Friday night at the WVU Coliseum, completing a season sweep of the Knights.

Huff, one of 14 seniors honored before tipoff, went 10‑for‑10 at the free‑throw line and hit four three‑pointers, bringing his career total to 398 — just 12 shy of entering the NCAA’s top 25 all‑time. Senior teammates Brenen Lorient (14), Chance Moore (13) and Jasper Floyd (10) also scored in double figures.

West Virginia (18–13, 9–9 Big 12) led for all but 26 seconds and built its largest lead of 17 points in the final minute. After UCF pulled within 53–49 with 12:03 remaining, the Mountaineers responded with a decisive 15–4 run fueled by nine points from Huff.

WVU held UCF to 38.1 percent shooting and a season‑low 62 points. The Knights (20–10, 9–9), who entered averaging 83 points per game and coming off a 104‑point outing, were led by Themus Fulks and Riley Kugel with 16 points each.

Head coach Ross Hodge praised his team’s resilience and the significance of the night. “They’ll never forget Senior Night winning and singing ‘Country Roads’ together in an incredible environment,” he said. With the victory, West Virginia secured no worse than eighth place in the Big 12 standings and a first‑round bye in next week’s conference tournament.

The Mountaineers have now won five of six in the series against UCF and are 11–2 in their last 13 Senior Day games. An announced crowd of 11,312 attended.

Conference tournament pairings will be finalized after Saturday’s games.
