(BCSNN) — After posting its 10th 10‑win season and finishing fourth in the Big 12 Conference, Houston revealed its full 2026 football schedule Wednesday in coordination with the Big 12.

The Cougars will face a challenging slate that includes two opponents who won 10 games in 2025 and four who finished with six or more wins. Three of Houston’s final four games come against teams that ended the 2025 season in the bottom half of the Big 12 standings.

Houston opens the 2026 campaign with back‑to‑back home games, hosting Oregon State on Sept. 5 and Southern on Sept. 12. The Cougars conclude non‑conference play with a Sept. 26 road trip to Georgia Southern in Statesboro, marking the first‑ever meeting between the programs.

Big 12 play begins Sept. 19 at Texas Tech, one of two matchups against Texas opponents and one of two games against teams ranked in the final AP Poll of 2025. Houston will close the regular season for the second straight year against Baylor, hosting the Bears on Nov. 28 at TDECU Stadium.

After the initial two home games and two road games, Houston hosts UCF on Oct. 3 in its Big 12 home opener. The Cougars then play two road contests in a three‑game stretch before their bye week, beginning with an Oct. 10 trip to Kansas State. Houston returns home to face Oklahoma State on Oct. 17 before traveling to Utah, marking the Cougars’ second scheduled game against a 2025 AP‑ranked opponent and their first visit to Salt Lake City since 1977.

Following a Halloween weekend bye, Houston hosts Cincinnati on Nov. 7. The Cougars then embark on their first‑ever trips to Colorado and West Virginia, playing the Buffaloes on Nov. 14 and the Mountaineers on Nov. 21 in consecutive road games.

The Big 12 Championship Game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 4 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

For the third straight season, Houston will play six home games and six road games, spanning three time zones. The Cougars will host four conference opponents and play five Big 12 road games.
