IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors from Week 3 of the 2026 season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
D.J. Crowther • R-Sr. • RB • South Florida
Crowther had a career-night for the Bulls rushing for three touchdowns on only eight carries. He totaled 141 all-purpose yards (101 rushing, 40 receiving), while averaging 12.6 yards per carry. He became the first Bull to run for three touchdowns in a game since 2021.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ayden Ducanson • 4th Year. • S • East Carolina
Ducanson intercepted his first career pass in the 20-17 come-from-behind win over Old Dominion, returning the interception 67 yards for a touchdown to tie the game at 17.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Trequan Jones • Sr. • RB • Tulsa
Jones returned the opening kickoff of the second half 98 yards for a touchdown to extend the Tulsa lead to three touchdowns. It marked the first Golden Hurricane return touchdown since 2024 as Tulsa defeated East Texas A&M 42-0.
HONORABLE MENTION
Collin Gill • Sr. • DB • Charlotte
Totaled seven tackles, two pass breakups and returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown in a 26-21 loss to App State.
Chris Tooley III • Sr. • DB • Florida Atlantic
Totaled five tackles (one TFL), one forced fumble and one interception in a 16-10 win over FIU.
Marcus Stokes • R-Jr. • QB • Memphis
Threw for 258 yards and four touchdowns on 26-of-32 throwing in a 45-21 win over UT Martin.
Ajani Sheppard • Sr. • QB • Temple
Scored four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing), threw for 164 yards and rushed for 66 yards in a 49-48 overtime loss to Toledo.
Seth Davis • R-Jr. • RB • Tulsa
Rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on nine carries in a 42-0 win over East Texas A&M.
