(BCSNN) — Five-star linebacker Xavier Griffin has officially decommitted from USC, reopening his recruitment and scheduling visits to several top programs, including Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, and Florida State. Griffin, ranked as the No. 22 overall player and the No. 2 linebacker in the 2026 class, had been committed to the Trojans since July 2024 but opted to explore other options after USC enforced its policy against committed players taking official visits elsewhere.
