It all seemed eerily similar. The feeling afterward was much different.

Thirteen days before, Anthony Brown scored a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to give Oregon a 24-17 lead. Thirteen days before, the Ducks committed defensive penalties as the opposition drove to a potential game-tying score in the final seconds. Friday night for Oregon against California, the final minutes were playing out just as they had 13 days before at Stanford.

Clemson Football Returns to Its Winning Ways with a 17-14 Road Victory at Syracuse

B.T. Potter’s 40-yard field goal with 9:22 to play to give Clemson a 10-point edge proved to be the difference as Clemson held on to defeat Syracuse, 17-14, at the Carrier Dome on Friday night. Clemson (4-2, 3-1 ACC) won its fourth in a row in the series and improved to 8-2 all-time against the Orange, who fell to 3-4 with the loss. Syracuse placekicker Andre Szmyt’s 47-yard game-tying field goal attempt sailed left with 38 seconds to play, allowing the Tigers to seal the victory.

Kansas State Football will try to claw its way back into the win column when the Wildcats host Iowa State on Saturday for the 105th meeting in this long-runng rivalry dubbed, Farmageddon. K-State is coming off two tough losses that saw undefeated Oklahoma State and Oklahoma both edge the Wildcats. As for Iowa State, the Cyclones have had a couple trip-ups this season, falling to Iowa (6-0) and Baylor (5-1), but looking strong otherwise.
