Good news for fans of Kansas State Football, which probably isn't something you read very often during a bye week. But the good news comes as head football coach Chris Klieman made a public statement about his future with the Wildcats, and it was good news, unless you root for Michigan State.

Seventeen regular-season home games and an Oct. 28 exhibition against UNC Pembroke inside the Fertitta Center highlight the University of Houston's Men's Basketball 2023-24 schedule after the Big 12 Conference released complete team conference schedules.

The Cincinnati football team is heading West this week for its first Big 12 road trip as it takes on BYU on Friday night (10:15 p.m. ET on ESPN) at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah.

Iowa State sophomore punter Tyler Perkins has been recognized as the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week after his efforts in the Ohio game.

Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel (offensive) and WR Nic Anderson (newcomer) along with BYU DE Tyler Batty (defensive) and Houston KR Matthew Golden (special teams) picked up Big 12 Football Week 3 awards.

Joe Wilkins Jr.'s eight-yard touchdown catch in overtime and Yahsyn McKee's game-sealing interception gave the Miami University football team a dramatic 31-24 win at Cincinnati Saturday night in the annual Battle for the Victory Bell.

Oklahoma State Football is back in action again this week as the Cowboys play host to the Jaguars of South Alabama on Saturday evening in Stillwater. OK State is looking to remain perfect after a 2-0 start to the season. Meanwhile, the Jags are 1-1 after beginning the 2023 campaign with a 37-17 loss to Tulane. However, South Alabama rebounded last week by defeating Southeastern Louisiana, 35-17.

Texas Football was named the Cheez-It National Team of the Week, the Football Writers Association of America announced on Monday. The Longhorns defeated then-No. 3 Alabama 34-24 on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers (offensive) and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (newcomer) were joined by Oklahoma linebacker Danny Stutsman (defensive) and UCF kicker Colton Boomer (special teams) as Big 12 football weekly award winners. Ewers and Stutsman also picked up Walter Camp National Players of the Week.

Just when sophomore kicker Colton Boomer may have thought that his day couldn’t get any better, after he set a career best with a 50-yard field goal only to surpass it a few minutes later.

The No. 3/3 Alabama football team dropped a 34-24 decision to No. 11/10 Texas Saturday night in front of a sold-out crowd at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Jonathan Jean knocked away Donovan Smith's attempt for a tying two-point conversion in the second overtime to give Rice a 43-41 win over Houston and bring the Bayou Bucket back to South Main for the first time since 2010.

TCU Football is back home for the second straight week as the Horned Frogs host Nicholls on Saturday evening. The Frogs and Colonels are meeting for the first time on the gridiron.
