For the third straight season, the Razorbacks are headed back to the Sweet 16 with a 72-71 win over top-seeded Kansas (ranked #4.5) on Saturday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena.

With the win, the 12th-ranked Cowboys improved to 15-3, while Dallas Baptist fell to 11-6.

Regular season champion Kansas earned a No. 1 seed while Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship winner Texas was awarded a No. 2 seed to highlight a nation-high 70 percent of teams in the 2023 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. Baylor and Kansas State captured No. 3 seeds.

Senior forward Dylan Disu recorded a team-high 18 points to lead No. 7/7 Texas (26-8) to a convincing 76-56 win against No. 3/4 Kansas (27-7) in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship final on Saturday night in T-Mobile Center.

In a battle of two Associated Press Top-10 teams, No. 3 Kansas (27-6) will face No. 7 Texas (25-8) in the title game of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, Saturday, March 11, at 5 p.m. CT. The contest will be televised on ESPN.

With the win, the Longhorns advance to the semifinals against No. 22/23 TCU on Friday, March 10 at 8:30 p.m. Central.

Texas Tech is set to take on West Virginia at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in a Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship first-round matchup at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The Red Raiders will play in the conference tournament with Corey Williams as the interim head coach.

Highlighted by Big 12 Player of the Year Jalen Wilson, Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Dajuan Harris Jr., and the Big 12 Most Improved Player KJ Adams Jr., Kansas was well represented on the men’s basketball 2022-23 All-Big 12 Team selected by the conference coaches, the league announced Sunday. With the aforementioned and Gradey Dick and Kevin McCullar Jr., all five KU starters were represented on the 2023 All-Big 12 teams.

Head coach Jerome Tang was named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Coach of the Year, while senior Keyontae Johnson was selected unanimously as the league's Newcomer of the Year as well as All-Big 12 First Team, along with senior Markquis Nowell, as the conference office announced its annual men's basketball awards.

No. 22 TCU dropped its season-finale, 74-60, Saturday at Oklahoma. 
 
Mike Miles Jr. scored 17 points to lead the Horned Frogs (20-11, 9-9), which finished in a tie for fifth place in the Big 12. Damion Baugh had 13 points to with a team-high eight rebounds and three assists.

No. 3 Kansas (25-5, 13-4) concludes its regular season at No. 9 Texas (22-8, 11-6) on Saturday, March 4, at 3 p.m. CT.

TCU's Damion Baugh and Emanuel Miller each reached 20 points as the No. 22-ranked Horned Frogs never trailed in a 75-73 win over No. 9 Texas Wednesday in front of a packed crowd of 8,194 at Schollmaier Arena.

Nothing ever seems to come easy in a Big 12 Conference that at one point had all 10 teams projected to make the NCAA Tournament field. Not even a 17-point lead with less than three minutes remaining. That was the position seventh-ranked Baylor found itself in Monday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

As far as scripts go, Baylor coach Scott Drew was ready to tear this draft up and do a rewrite eight minutes into Saturday's top-10 matchup at the Ferrell Center.

No. 3 Kansas (23-5, 11-4) returns home against West Virginia (16-12, 5-10) Saturday, Feb. 25. The game from Allen Fieldhouse will begin at 3 p.m. (CT) and will be televised on ESPN.

Texas continues its first homestand of the season, hosting Indiana for a three-game series at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Longhorns and Hoosiers have only played once previously, in the 2018 NCAA Austin Regional Final. Texas defeated Indiana 3-2 to advance to the NCAA Super Regional and eventually the College World Series.
