UTEP redshirt RB Ronald Awatt was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention list for Player of the Week (week six) on Tuesday.

Officials from UTSA and the United States Air Force Academy on Tuesday announced that the two schools have agreed to a future home-and-home football series.

The Pirates (1-2) reeled off the final 21 points in the last 7:31, scoring the go-ahead touchdown with 55 seconds to go then sealing it on Ja'Quan McMillan's ninth career interception at the 1 with just 6 seconds to play. ECU's victory snapped a Marshall streak of winning 21 consecutive games when scoring at least 30 points.

The UTSA men's basketball team will play 18 total home games as part of its 2021-22 schedule, it was announced by head coach Steve Henson.

The University of Texas continues its 129th season of football on Saturday when the Longhorns meet Rice at Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium. Texas enters the game with 924 wins, the fourth-most in college football history. UT holds an all-time record of 924-378-33 (.704).

The UTEP football team will hit the road to play on the blue turf at Boise State on Friday, Sept. 10. The Miners and Broncos are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. MT in Albertsons Stadium. The contest will be televised on FS1, while it marks the first trip back to Boise since the 2003 season.

UTSA improved to 9-2 all-time in season openers with the 37-30 road win over Illinois, the Roadrunners' second victory against a team from a Power Five conference. UTSA senior Hunter Duplessis has been named the 2020-21 Conference USA Football Scholar Athlete of the Year, the league office announced.
