Playing its first game as a member of the Big 12 Conference, UCF football put together a stellar debut as the Knights defeated Kent State in dominant fashion 56-6 Thursday night in front of a packed FBC Mortgage Stadium.

After a full decade as a member of the American Athletic Conference, UCF debuts as a member of the Big 12 Conference when the Knights host Kent State at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31 at FBC Mortgage Stadium in the 2023 season opener.

NIU continues to work offensively on its run game as Fall Camp progresses. The Huskies were second in the Mid-American Conference in rushing last season with 190.4 rushing yards per game, which put NIU among the top 40 in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). In NIU's MAC Championship season of 2021 the Huskies were fourth in the nation in rushing at 241.4 yards per game.

Mac Hippenhammer, a member of the Miami University football team, has agreed to terms on a mini-camp invite with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Penn State transfer finished his Miami career with 107 catches for 1,632 yards and 14 touchdowns in 26 career games.
