    Lew Nichols III ran for 123 yards and a touchdown, Marshall Meeder kicked three field goals, and the Central Michigan defense delivered in the clutch on Friday as the Chippewas held off Washington State, 24-21, to win the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl.

    The Western Michigan University football team captured the second bowl victory in program history on Monday, knocking off Nevada 52-24 in the 2021 Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field in Detroit.

    The slogan for the TaxAct Camellia Bowl is "History Made Here," and the Georgia State Panthers did their part with a dominating 51-20 victory over Ball State on Christmas Day at the Cramton Bowl. The Panthers made history with their second-straight bowl win and their school-record eighth victory of the season.

    The Wyoming Cowboys concluded their 2021 season with their biggest offensive performance of the season, scoring 52 points in a 52-38 win over Kent State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Tuesday in Boise, Idaho. The 52 points were the most Wyoming had ever scored in a bowl game and were the most UW had scored this season.

  • Coastal Carolina Football Outlasts the NIU Huskies in an Exciting Cure Bowl to Win, 47-41

    Coastal Carolina and Northern Illinois combined to total 1,030 total yards of offense and 88 points in a back-and-forth scoring slugfest that saw the Chanticleers finish on top 47-41 in the seventh annual Tailgreeter Cure Bowl in Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Fla.

  • Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: Wyoming Ready to Clash with the Kent State Golden Flashes

    The Ohio men's basketball team (3-1) returned to action Friday night in the second game of the Kentucky Classic, falling to No. 13 Kentucky (3-1), 77-59, inside Rupp Arena. Redshirt senior forward Ben Vander Plas (Ripon, Wis.) led Ohio with 19 points.

  • Toledo Rockets Rout the Bowling Green State Falcons in a 49-17 Drubbing

    Toledo turned a close game into a rout with three touchdowns in a span of 2:19 late in the first half to pull away from Bowling Green and cruise to a 49-17 victory in the annual Battle of I-75 Trophy at Doyt L. Perry Stadium, Wednesday night.

    The Northern Illinois University football team rallied from a 26-20 fourth-quarter deficit and returned the Bronze Stalk to DeKalb after defeating Ball State, 30-29, at Huskie Stadium Wednesday night.

  • Ohio Bobcats Jump Out To An Early Lead En Route To Win Over the EMU Eagles, 34-26

    The Ohio football team (3-7, 3,3) surged ahead early, maintaining a lead the majority of the game against Eastern Michigan (6-4, 3-3). The Bobcats defeated the Eagles 34-26 Tuesday night inside Rynearson Stadium. Offensively, Ohio was led by quarterback Kurtis Rourke, who threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns. De'Montre Tuggle concluded the game with 78 rushing yards and one touchdown. On defense, Alvin Floyd finished with 12 tackles, while Will Evans, Bryce Houston and Jack McCroy had a combined two sacks.

  • Miami RedHawks Football Still Perfect at Yager Stadium After Dominating Buffalo, 45-18

    The Miami University football team remained perfect at home with a 45-18 victory over Buffalo Tuesday, earning their 13th straight victory at Yager Stadium. The dominating combination of Jack Sorenson and Brett Gabbert, plus key plays from multiple defensive players, proved too much for the Bulls, with Miami picking up six touchdowns compared to Buffalo's two.

    Northern Illinois University freshman running back Jay Ducker (Bellevue, Neb./Bellevue HS) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Co-Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for a career and season high 210 yards on 33 carries Saturday in NIU's 34-26 win over Bowling Green.

  • BGSU K Nate Needham Named the MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week

    Bowling Green's placekicker Nate Needham was named the MAC East Division Special Teams Player of the Week honors for games played through Oct. 17, announced the Mid-American Conference. It is the second career honor for Needham and second this season.
