The brackets and schedule for the 2022 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam have been finalized, tournament officials announced.

Head Coach Michael Lewis and the Ball State men's basketball program added Kaiyem Cleary as part of the 2022 recruitment class. Cleary is a junior college transfer from Florida SouthWestern State and will be immediately eligible to play for the Cardinals in 2022-23.

Miami University head men's basketball coach Travis Steele has announced the addition of assistant coach Jonathan Holmes. Holmes spent that past three seasons as an assistant coach at Elon.

The Kent State men's basketball program announced the signing of Chris Payton to the 2022 class.  Payton, a junior college transfer from Indian Hills Community College, spent time at Pitt last season and will now join the Golden Flashes for the 2022-23 campaign.

Toledo sophomore infielder Jeron Williams has been named MAC Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced. He shares the award with Central Michigan's Drew Lechnir.

Rashaun Agee, a 6-foot-8 forward from Chicago, Ill., has signed an NLI to play for the Bowling Green State University men's basketball program. Agee joins the Falcons after spending the 2021-22 season at Casper College in Wyoming.

Miami University head football coach Chuck Martin has announced the addition of Ron Burton to his staff. Burton will coach the defensive line.

The University of Dayton men's basketball team won at Toledo Wednesday in the first round of the NIT by a score of 74-55.  Dayton improves to 24-10 while Toledo end its season 26-8.

The Texas Tech baseball team completed the series sweep of Kent State with a pair of wins, 8-1 in game one and 7-5 in game two, in a Sunday doubleheader at Rip Griffin Park. The Red Raiders secured the series' first win on Saturday, 10-7.

The Kent State men's basketball team (16-9, 11-4 MAC) picked up its seventh win in a row as the team ended Toledo's (20-6, 12-3 MAC) 13-game home winning streak on Tuesday night inside Savage Arena.

Junior RayJ Dennis tallied a career-high 22 points, a team-best eight rebounds and a career-high tying eight assists, and sophomore Ryan Rollins also scored 22 points to lead Toledo to a 100-72 triumph at Northern Illinois on Saturday afternoon. The 28-point victory keeps the Rockets (20-5, 12-2 MAC) in a first-place tie in the Mid-American Conference with Ohio (21-4, 12-2 MAC).

The slogan for the TaxAct Camellia Bowl is "History Made Here," and the Georgia State Panthers did their part with a dominating 51-20 victory over Ball State on Christmas Day at the Cramton Bowl. The Panthers made history with their second-straight bowl win and their school-record eighth victory of the season.
